Elyse is an APA Titled Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist and is the Principal Physiotherapist at Leichhardt Medical and Dental Centre. After completing her Physiotherapy degree in 2013 at the University of Sydney, she went on to complete her Masters of Sports Physiotherapy at La Trobe University, in order to expand her knowledge of injury diagnosis, management and rehabilitation. Elyse has extensive experience managing injuries and implementing rehabilitation programs in a variety of different settings including multidisciplinary musculoskeletal clinics, high performance sport, orthopaedics and aged care. She has travelled both domestically and internationally with a variety of different sporting teams including Brisbane Heat, Mumbai Indians, Cricket Australia, Queensland Cricket, Cricket NSW, Netball NSW, Marconi Stallions FC and North Shore Mariners FC. Elyse is highly motivated and strongly believes that rehabilitation should be patient specific, with a focus on education, manual therapy and exercise. After completing a thorough physical examination, she uses these tools to work with the patient to reduce pain and improve function for all her patients. Elyse is a very passionate Physio and regularly attends professional development courses and conferences to broaden her skill set, to ensure her skills remain at the forefront of the latest evidence-based research. She has worked in a private practice setting for over ten years and has a keen interest in sport.
